About the artist

b. 1978, United Kingdom based in Glasgow. Rosalind Lawless completed her MA in Fine Art printmaking at the Royal College of Art in 2004 and her BA at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen in 2002

Rosalind Lawless's practice is influenced by her immediate surroundings, using commonplace imagery to organise the pictorial space, forms that occupy and give perspective within the substrate. Lawless strives to physically construct the space within the composition of her work and aim to recreate the space whilst questioning ideas such as the relationship of form to material and symmetry/ asymmetry
